Working principle of vacuum pump

As we all know, the service life of each product is determined by a core component, and that core component is often the most valuable. The core component of the vacuum packaging machine is the vacuum pump.

 

Working principle of rotary vane vacuum pump:

The round rotor is at the center of the pump shaft, and the motor drives the vacuum pump shaft through an elastic coupling. The rotor rotates in the circular fixed pump body, and the center line of the pump body deviates from the rotor axis until the rotor and the inner wall of the pump body almost form linear contact. The blade slides along the blade groove of the rotor, dividing the space between the pump body and the rotor into several working chambers. Gas is sucked in and discharged at any time, so the vacuum pump exhausts almost uninterruptedly.

In order to avoid inhaling solid particles, the vacuum pump is equipped with an air inlet filter at the air inlet. In order to avoid reverse rotation of the blades after turning off the power, the vacuum pump is equipped with a check valve.

 

Note: This valve cannot be used as a check valve or shut-off valve in the vacuum system and after the vacuum pump is turned off, this valve cannot be used to prevent oil from being sucked into the vacuum system.

 

If the vacuum pump is equipped with a gas ballast valve (optional), a small amount of air enters the vacuum pump cavity through the gas ballast valve and is compressed together with the process gas. This way, the condensation of condensable gas components in the process gas in the vacuum pump can be prevented. The gas ballast valve is equipped with a paper filter element. If the gas ballast valve is equipped with a ball valve, through the ball valve, the gas ballast valve can be partially or fully closed. In order to improve the working characteristics of the vacuum pump, an exhaust valve is installed at the exhaust port of the vacuum pump chamber.
